Sheldon Carlinsky has a distinguished career within SAPS, having worked across various units.
His journey began with the Flying squad unit and then an attempt to join the Special Task Force, where he underwent rigorous selection processes.
Although a parachute accident prevented him from completing the specialized training, he leveraged the skills he acquired to join the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, commonly known as the Hawks.
Sheldon served in the Tactical Unit of the Hawks, where he received advanced training in detection and investigation.
He conducted preliminary investigations through profiling, surveillance, and observation of suspects.
His duties included escorting precious metals and diamonds, safeguarding firearms, and protecting high-value exhibits.
Sheldon provided operational support to all units within the Hawks.
He was responsible for gathering intelligence on high-profile cases.
Sheldon worked on international cases involving most wanted fugitives.
His mandate included tracing most wanted fugitives and cash-in-transit suspects.
He conducted high-risk search and arrest operations.
